PART-BRED DIVISION CHISTOSO WC is my first stallion and first pure bred Andalusian. He is the neatest horse I have ever owned and is living up to all the promises made by his breeder Suzie Fisher of Walnut Creek Andalusians. His sire Rico MHF (out of Navarre GF) has produced numerous foals that are quick learners and steady in temperament; Chistoso is no exception. Chistoso was born on April Fool’s Day and so his name means “Joker” or one that plays tricks on others. Chistoso is kind and gentle, hard working and dedicated. Chi is definitely not a JOKE, but does have a sense of humor! As a three year old he took to driving and won 4 national classes at the Alliance show in 2010 including the ‘cones course’ where he competed against older and more experienced horses. Chi then went on to show in an ADS CDE and scored 74.6 on his Preliminary Test 6 drive (again as a three year old!). He was so developed he passed over Training Level and is winning over horses many years his senior. He remains a driving machine. As a 4 year old Chi was trailored to Texas for Revision and passed inspection. He is now listed as Revised in the Spanish Stud books of ANCCE. He was bred to a black Thoroughbred mare and we are expecting his first foal next spring. Chi was tested by UC Davis for color and carries Black and Bay genes only (EE/Aa): he has no Grey factor. He also has a distinct dorsal stripe of black from mane to tail. Chi was started under saddle in 2011 and showed at a local dressage schooling show. He did well at Training Level and we are confident for improvements over this year. Chi is starting training for eventing in December 2011 at Runnymede Stables in Glenpool, Oklahoma. He is very athletic and looking for a demanding job and we are confident eventing will challenge him as he continues to develop. I will never be able to tell you how this horse had changed my life. He has stolen my heart with his gentle, playful demeanor and loving attitude toward me and my family. He is playful by nature yet very serious when it is time to work. He is a strong worker when asked and has learned many things quickly. He is talented and athletic much like his father.
