Xato 7R ("Chateau") is a classic Lusitano stallion, standing 16H, approved for breeding and imported from Brazil where he was in dressage training and standing at stud. His bloodlines are heavily influenced by Veiga lines. His sire is the legendary Donaire, son of Quimono, a well known stallion in Portugal. His dam comes from the great chestnut stallion, Babel, one of the most famous stallions to ever come to Brazil, bred by Ortigao Costa, who is well known for producing exceptional dressage horses.
Xato has balanced gaits with good impulsion, free shoulder movement, and is serious and focused under saddle. He possesses the excellent, trainable mind that Lusitanos are so well known for. As if all that were not enough, he has the added bonus of a spectacular metallic golden buckskin coat! His color is absolutely stunning, and that, along with excellent conformation, a gorgeous head, and his height, makes him the perfect package. He is a proven stallion in Brazil, having only produced buckskin and palomino foals so far. This will be his first season standing in the U.S. Xato will be making his show ring debut this year in both dressage and breed shows.
